TEST DRIVE 003
Here is our third Test Drive Meme! There are a lot of areas of the city to explore, so please have a look around! In case you need a little help getting started, I've included a few prompts below, or feel free to start your own! Exploration and player initiative are the names of the game here!
NOTE: While you do need an invite to apply to the game, you do NOT need one to tag or top level on the Test Drive!
Arrival & General Information | Locations & Bestiary | Residences & Housing Info | Businesses | Rules & FAQ (ask questions here!)
A. Crash into Me
Not exactly, but close enough. You have just arrived and received a strange satchel from a tiny, strange little man and are left more or less to your own devices (more information on what to expect upon arrival can be found here)! Follow directions to the north and check out the housing, or maybe have a look around the Historium and try to get some information from that giant glowing ball, see what you can waste your meager starter coin on in the Market District, or maybe just meet the neighbors.
B. Something Wicked This Way Comes
Beginning today, new creatures will be noticed. As the description suggests, what will be experienced first is a change in mood for the darker. People who are possessed by these entities will have a sick, afflicted feeling to them perceivable by those who are sensitive to magical energies or have a sensitivity to the spiritual energies or can sense non-corporeal entities.
These entities can be purged with even low-level healing spells or by those who are capable of expelling demons or other spirits. There is also a new advertisement found pinned to the Notice Board and posted in random places throughout every district of the city and outside every residence building:Feeling under the weather? Suffering from the night before? Have a headache? Fever? Minor possession? We have the cure for what ails you! Stop by Grave Concoctions! You won't be disappointed!
(OOC: Added to the bottom of these flyers in a scrawled hand is the following)
We're located just south of the Cemetery! You can't miss us...me. You can't miss me!
Tell Phone
The Tell Phones everyone are provided when they arrive are capable of voice transmission and texting as well and photo texts!

Malik Caesar | Tale of Graces f
II. Tell Phone
Tavern
There was no particular reason he was here but now it seemed that a newcomer needed aid so maybe there had been a purpose for his visit this day. Serious blue eyes looked at the man who'd offered a nearby stool to sit on and he slowly took a seat with a nod. "It does seem that newcomers show at certain times. But if you have just arrived, have you received your lodgings?"
The barkeep then came up with a smile and in some ways he reminded the knight of the older wizard Rab who was the Luminary's maternal grandfather and former retired King of Dundrasil. "The usual ale Hendrik?" he asked. "Yes if you please." the knight replied before turning back to his companion.
Tavern
Hendrick also came here often, but that was easier to see. The Tavernkeep had all but told him. "I'll admit, they're a bit troubling. I'm not particularly keen on sticking around." But he also was no stranger to complicated circumstances and he wasn't about to panic. Instead, he offered a gloved hand to the other man. "Malik Caesar."
no subject
However, he ended up stuck here with people he didn't know. "I have found in aiding others helps to pass the time until we are returned to our rightful places back home." And that's when he heard the man's name and saw the gloved hand. Taking it to shake briefly before letting go, he nodded. "I am Hendrik of Heliodor."
no subject
He nodded his greeting to Hendrick. "So, that's how you pass the time? Helping others?"
no subject
To the last Hendrik shook his head. "Since I cannot leave I must help where I can." It was a knight of Heliodor thing. But he wasn't sure whether or not to bring that up so he didn't.

Fountain Square
She walked up to the fountain and stopped when she spotted someone familiar. "Malik?" He was the first from their small ragtag team that she's found but Sophie was blindly confident that she'll soon run into everyone else.
"Who are you talking too?"
no subject
"Hello, Sophie." He slipped the 'Phone' into a pocket. "Myself, mostly. Are you the only one here?"
no subject
Malik would know who she was talking about.
"I haven't seen anyone else." She paused and then added. "Besides you. How did we get here?"
no subject
He shook his head at her question, though. "I don't have the foggiest. I don't even remember it. Even the warps on Fodra felt like something. This...is different."
He stroked his chin thoughtfully for a moment before smiling. "Well, Sophie, Pascal might not be around to help us puzzle this out, but I think we can manage."
NaminĂ© đŸ’™ Kingdom Hearts
yours and mine.
[The words rang out, calling to her, like a memory. Naminés ocean blue eyes slowly blink open as if the light over the fountain is too bright. The soft echoes of the fountain fill the shell of her ear and she knows, this isn't where she should be. She's whole again.
Naminé pushes herself into a seated position and stares at the palm of her hand.] How?
[It's explained but it isn't enough. It doesn't explain how a lost lingering will has been able to become whole again. The last she remembers.... is the darkness.
In a daze, Naminé leaves the fountain and wanders into the city. She doesn't know what world this is or where she's going but she's walking; on her own two feet. She stops suddenly and looks up at the sky.]
It's so blue. [Cold.
She wraps her arms around her torso and shivers.
Was it always so cold?]
a phone call away...
[The voice is soft and gentle.]
Hello? Can someone hear me?
...
[Her voice lowers to a whisper.]
Sora? I can't feel... anyone here.
[But their hearts... are connected.]
Crash
Yeah, the sky is like that. Especially away from the City That Never Was.
Crash
Naminé gasps as she turns towards Demyx. It's his coat that she remembers the most. She'd been alone and then there had been the Organization. They aren't bad but she doesn't know why he's in this world or what he wants to do here. The Nobodies... The Heartless... This world feels so peaceful. She doesn't want it to be destroyed like so many others.]
Why are you here?
[She's entirely skipping over the fact that she shouldn't be here either. It's hard to imagine any organization member here on accident.]
no subject
[So he's just as confused as she is. Demyx frowns and looks at the sky.]
I can't feel them here. Nobodies. Heartless.
no subject
I can't imagine you with fins. Is it like Sora's fins? [She knows that memory. It isn't hers but it's clear in her mind: Atlantis, Ariel, the fish.
Naminés hands come to rest over her heart. She'd felt it too, something is wrong. They're all connected but she can't feel the threads that tug at each heart... they aren't on this world.]
It's strange.
no subject
[He laughs at the idea. How could anyone think Sora would be better at it.]
But it's... quiet.
no subject
She wonders if she can swim too...]
Is it supposed to be this quiet?
[She doesn't want to trust him but Naminé knows so little that she has no choice. It's just like being in that cold castle again but this time she isn't going to be used. If they're both stuck here then they need to work together.]

You're looking for Sora too?

Terra? Is that you?

Namine? You're here too? Is anyone else with you?

[It's nice to hear a familiar voice.]
I was hoping that this thing would help me find everyone. I'm not sure... how this could happen.

I don't know..but where are you?

A phone call
The voice on the other end of the...the line, he guessed was how to say that, sounded lost, though, and while Yuri wasn't quick to admit it, he wasn't one to leave someone to their own devices, even if he was just as lost as they were.]
Yeah, we can hear you. [A beat.] Do you usually feel people? That's weird.
A phone call
It is weird, huh. [Naminé is very strange and while she doesn't have a good comparison to what is normal, she does know that she is an oddity. Her whole existence is a mistake.] But this is all weird.
Don't you think?
