Welcome to Aterat!

Here is our third Test Drive Meme! There are a lot of areas of the city to explore, so please have a look around! In case you need a little help getting started, I've included a few prompts below, or feel free to start your own! Exploration and player initiative are the names of the game here!

A. Crash into Me

Not exactly, but close enough. You have just arrived and received a strange satchel from a tiny, strange little man and are left more or less to your own devices (more information on what to expect upon arrival can be found here)! Follow directions to the north and check out the housing, or maybe have a look around the Historium and try to get some information from that giant glowing ball, see what you can waste your meager starter coin on in the Market District, or maybe just meet the neighbors.

B. Something Wicked This Way Comes

Beginning today, new creatures will be noticed. As the description suggests, what will be experienced first is a change in mood for the darker. People who are possessed by these entities will have a sick, afflicted feeling to them perceivable by those who are sensitive to magical energies or have a sensitivity to the spiritual energies or can sense non-corporeal entities.

These entities can be purged with even low-level healing spells or by those who are capable of expelling demons or other spirits. There is also a new advertisement found pinned to the Notice Board and posted in random places throughout every district of the city and outside every residence building:

Feeling under the weather? Suffering from the night before? Have a headache? Fever? Minor possession? We have the cure for what ails you! Stop by Grave Concoctions! You won't be disappointed!

The Tell Phones everyone are provided when they arrive are capable of voice transmission and texting as well and photo texts!

Yes... but they weren't Nobody's anymore. None of them were. How are you still...?

Some of us still are. Especially the ones who were smart enough to not get in the fight.

[She isn't entirely paying attention, plus... Demyx seems kind. At least kinder than other organization members she's met in the past.]

Do you... do you want your heart returned?

Maybe we still can. If others had...

[His heart. Demyx sighs, looking at her. That isn't an easy question.]

Of course I do. Like, that's what all Nobodies want. But that didn't exactly go so well. I ended up right away accepting Xehanort's mess.

[Her head tilts curiously to the side as she looks up at him and unexplainably, her expression softens.]

Maybe you can find it here... I don't think it's behind a door or lost.

Each of us.... we are connected to our hearts. [Kairi is what connects her to Sora and the others.] You can find it. I know you can.

[Oh Namine. Demyx sighs.]

I'm not really looking for it. I'd have to die. And my Heartless too.

I didn't die and neither did Kairi... why can't it be done for you too?

You're different. So is Kairi. I'm just... Namine, I'm a normal Nobody, even if I'm a high order one.

[Her voice trails off as her palm presses against her chest.]

Why aren't all Nobody's different too?

[Not all Nobodies, dear.]

Only the higher level ones like us. The ones strong enough to have form and personality.

[To her, he's merely proving her point. There is something that makes him special too.]

[Her head tilts curiously to the side.]

Doesn't rare mean special?

I don't know that it does, Namine.

[He shakes his head. Come on, give him a break.]

I'm not human, I don't have a heart, I'm strange, but I'm not special.

If you don't know then it might!

We should find out.

[She smiled, not letting his doubt affect her.]

[How do they even know if they are special?]

I don't even know where to begin on that. I'm not the bright Nobody, remember?

[The question of uncertainty can go both ways and that is what gives Naminé hope.]

I don't know. [She admits with a small smile.] But, I'm going to try my best.

[If Sora has taught her anything, its to never give up.]
