State of the Game: March

The snows are finally subsiding as temperatures in Aterat and the surrounding area begin to rise and the world begins to thaw. That means a lot of thoroughfares, roads, and walkways have begun to transition from a winter wonderland to slushy mud which makes walking or riding a whole new hazard.

The chocolatier who opened last month in the Noble district is still around, though, and they're still selling delicious and questionably effectual chocolates. They've added a new assortment as well, it seems, though the proprietor suggests they are not for the faint of heart. You see, unlike the chocolates for friends, these white chocolates force the consumer to lie, and only lie, for 24 hours. That couldn't possibly cause problems, now could it?

The Festival of Smoke and Mirrors

With all the new folks who arrived in the city last year, there seems to have been another new festival to come along with them.

It begins innocently enough. the weekend of March 11-13th, a circus has come to town! None really know where it came from, though the vast tents and carnival ground the entertainment complex outside of town has become suggest it was quite the procession. Some speculate they came from another world, just like the other residents. Whatever their origin, people seem very enthusiastic about their coming. Flyers can be found in all establishments, in the common areas of the residential buildings, at glued to light street lights.

There will be a log for the three days of the circus and carnival, at which anyone who attends will be given a small, folding mirror in a box as a door prize. Along with the mirror is a hand-written note in silver ink, written in elegant script.

If you use me before sleep, you will certainly dream of what might have been!

For those who do look into the mirror before they sleep, they may find themselves waking up a little...different than they went to bed.

Through the end of the month, players are free to use these little mirrors to play out alternate versions of their characters! There are no restrictions to this event, so you're free to play any version of your character you like, and the switch can last as long as you'd like it, too! Keep in mind, though, once they revert back to their true selves, the mirror will disintegrate, so they are single-use only.

At the end of the month, regardless of whether or not the mirrors are used, they will disappear.

OOC Points

• Players are no longer restricted to only playing 4 characters. As there is not formal AC requirement, play whatever you'd like!
• That being said, you can play characters from the same canon so long as they don't have interaction with one another.
