State of the Game: July

☰ State of the Game: July

At this point, no one should be surprised that Athony (and by association, Halcyn) has little experience with his abilities. Even still, he tried his best and he did get rid of the cemetery issues and the harbor problems, so that's a win, right? It just had the tiny side effect of releasing some things that should have stayed trapped in the Directory. In the past week, Halcyn has been working on a solution to the problem, and by the time the sun rises on the 2nd, it will have been resolved. The angry spirits which were inhabiting anything they could get their hands on are gone!

Also, when everyone wakes up on July 2nd, they will find their Tell Phones have received an upgrade!

She'll be making an announcement momentarily, to introduce you to your new device, as well as to your new Custodian of the Historium.

Throughout the month of July, citizens are abuzz about the arena, in which regular and show fights are held throughout. Newcomers are welcome to join. They can be pitted against monsters (see the bestiary for options. Bouts against monsters are held in waves, with fights increasing in difficulty. Lots of prize money can be won there!

OOC Note: Activity Check-In is live now, and will be open through July 10th.

☰ Maybe It's Something in the Air (July 4th-24th)

While the weather is only at times uncomfortably warm, on the 4th, the winds shift, and with it comes something akin to pollen, drifting from deep within the forest. It blankets everything from awnings to carriages to windows in yellowish grime, and irritates the throats and sinuses of anyone unlucky enough to have hay fever.

But it also seems to have strange effects on everyone. If you so choose, characters can either...

  • Be unable to tell a lie, even a little white one
  • Feel compelled to confess something they feel they've done wrong to anyone who will listen.

The options are interchangeable, meaning as long as the pollen is around, you can have characters shift between either affliction! On the 24th, heavy rains will wash the offense away, leaving everyone feeling much better (if more than a little awkward).

As usual, any questions can be directed here. Please use this post to plot out any confessions and awkward scenarios!
