Don't Feed the Plants - Part II
Things have been tense in the city the past few weeks, what with the mold spreading, the lack of lies, and the weird thoughts. Don't worry, things are going to get a little easier.
Your friendly neighborhood Aspects have been hard at work trying to solve the problem, and on the 7th (that's tomorrow) Halcyn will be making an announcement as to the solution they've come up with! It won't be much, but she has worked out a way to block the minds of all those in the city from the effects of the plants spreading through it.
That's right, folks! As of tomorrow, everyone will be protected from any mental effects of the plants around town. That means while you all may still have the sneezes, there will be no intrusive thoughts, no forced truth, and no hidden urges! That's great news, right?
It certainly seems that way, and the rest of the week will go by uneventfully. The following week, though, people will notice those spots of mold are beginning to sprout actual viney plants where they're allowed to grow, and they're spreading everywhere things can take root.
Beginning on the 12th, people will start to notice small pods, roughly the size of walnuts, sprouting in places, and it isn't long before these pods bloom into small pods. As these pods grow, they may threaten the lives of rats and other small animals that happen to come near them.
Yes, the plants are carnivorous. The guard will make available firesticks, basically magic-embued small staves that work as flamethrowers (use responsibly), to citizens to help stem the growth of these pods with are highly invasive and seem to be spreading more rapidly than anyone in power has the means to stem, and so everyone is enlisted to help.
This little infestation will last until the source is found and rooted out (pun totally intended).
We will need some players to volunteer for two different aspects of this plot: The Investigation and Dealing with the Problem. There will be 4 slots for each, and below is a brief description of what is expected of each group. Please get your volunteers submitted by the date listed in the section, so I can get the details needed for your part out to you!
Please have volunteers for the Investigation team submitted by September 12th.
Members of the investigation team need to be characters with investigative skills, and players who are willing to do posts and share information with other members of the investigative team. These characters can definitely help clear the smaller plants in the city, but will not be required to fight.I'll PM the volunteers details once the team is secured. Please respond to here to volunteer. Note: Not all slots need to be filled for the plot to commence.

Members of the fighting team will be fighting, and need to be able to at least plot out, if not play out, a fight with a giant, sentient, man-eating plant. Note: If the team opts to log the battle, the monster in question will be NPCed by the participants, not played by the mod team.
