EVENT - THE WINDS ARE CHANGING; PART 1

It happens in the dead of night, an explosion of energy so fierce the ground quakes. Nothing major, just enough to knock small nicknacks off of shelves and wake people from their slumber. Those who are magically or psychically sensitive, though, will feel the full force of the blast and won’t be able to pinpoint where it came from other than “outside the city”. It seems the newer arrivals aren’t alone in their noticing, either, as as the day progresses, even as they go about their daily activities, the residents are abuzz with talk. What could it have been? Where did it come from? Why are the Aspects silent?
Why, indeed. If anyone attempts to contact them through normal means, there is no answer and no one seems to have seen them for a few days. Even Captain Khannar is at a loss as to what could have happened.
Monday, September 28
This is when the nightmares start. They're normal at first, if frequent. Many will awaken with no memory of the dream itself, but with a sense of great terror that is slow to fade. These dreams continue throughout the week, growing in intensity and vividness.
Those who do remember the dream may notice something in whatever setting the nightmare occurs: a small bear-shaped figurine out of place on a nightstand if the dream occurs in a house, a scribbled bear doodle on a bathroom stall door of a nightmare scape school toilet, a bear on a sign in front of some establishment you may run past in your dream. It can take as varied a form as you can imagine, but one thing is certain: no matter how many nightmares you have, there's always a bear to be found somewhere.

Part 2 of the event will be posted on October 8th and will comprise the investigation of and resolution of the cause of these nightmares as well as mark the entry into a permanent change in Aterat's nature!
Use the post below to plot with one another! Ask any questions you might have here! NOTE: While this event does deal with nightmares and can take the form of anything a character fears, it need not be deeply horrific. You can be as mundane or horrifying as you like with the nightmares!

Once the nightmares start he'll be as much a victim as everyone else, and he'll be doing his best to gather as much information as possible about what's going on so you can expect him stalking any other network posts related to him and his asking characters all sorts of uncomfortable questions about their nightmares. Otherwise, he's available for any in-person threads as well and if anyone wants to inquire of the Gullwings for anything, you can usually find him in the office in the Market district. He's somehow been dubbed the office manager. He hates it, but it is what it is.
Vincent Valentine
Vincent is no stranger to nightmares, but the fact that they begin to plague everyone will be very concerning. He isn't the best at support, but he'll be available to talk if anyone needs to

Yuna
That said, she'd likely think about going and exploring "outside the city" to see if anything can be found. I don't think she'll find anything yet but since Yuna is sensitive to magic, she'll likely be able to lead people semi-close.
She will also maybe get herself in trouble since there are monsters in the woods.
Syeira Harven
She doesn't have her brother to wake up during nightmares anymore so she'll likely be seen sleeping in bars, common areas and anywhere else that has a lot of foot traffic. The noise helps her get back to sleep and eases some of the nightmares.
Either way, she will not be having a good time through the nightmare part of this plot. She won't notice the bears because many things in her sight overlap uncomfortably.
Jacob Miller
He'll also just set up a place on the roof there that would be comfortable to sit and look out over the city.
Of all my peoples, he's very observant and smarter than he gives himself credit for but he will notice the various bears in his nightmares. He already has nightmares so I don't think it'd really make him sleep less, he'd just be more on edge and a bit more aware of his surroundings. Jacob is pretty quick for a human but he often isn't paying attention, now he's always going to be paying attention.
I also think he'll be carving some wooden bears on the roof while he thinks about the imagery.
Caelan
When the nightmares start, Caelan will probably be confused because he doesn’t tend to have a lot of nightmares at this point in his story. He will however pay closer attention to them because of that, dreams can be important in his world and the repeated bear imagery will cement that for him. He wont know why he’s dreaming about bears, but he’s going to guess that it’s very important for some reason.
He’ll probably open up his apartment to people (or go to them if they reach out) to visit and calm down if they have a hard time with the nightmares, happy to play his violin to help sooth frazzled nerves.
Since I’m on hiatus currently (will be back properly the first week of October! Possibly sooner now that things have calmed down a bit!) A lot of this can be handwaved or backdated if you want to discuss that here on this post, at plurk:
Lynn's 3 boys
Since Steve is a front line fighter he'll be against the ghosts. Other than that, he's going to be out there seeing what he can find out when the explosion goes off regardless of time. If the townspeople are abuzz and all that, he'll be listening to what they're saying and trying to investigate. Once he's aware of the whole cemetery thing he'll be all over that, trying to keep the townspeople safe by fighting where it's needed most, trying to keep as many of the undead in front of him as he can.
Ignis - This one is a fighter, magic user & healer. So if healing is needed let him know because he can do it as he does have healing potions on him though he'll need to learn how to do more after this because the ones he has are powered through Noct & the crystal and both of those key items aren't here. So he's magically sensitive of sorts and he'll be watching the network and listening to gather what intel he can. He can help with the whole Lich thing too if needed.
Yuki - This one isn't a healer or fighter at all (unless martial arts may come into play) so he'll be trying to gather his wits and figure this all out. He'll of course be watching the network and trying to get info since he's pretty shiny and new to the world here. If he gets directed to help people get to safety when the ghosts come around, he can do that.

For the dreams he will be generally paranoid and thinking quite a bit about his kids. The bear figurines will make him quite uncomfortable - Ara and Atha found the kids after their mother had been mauled to death by a bear, so the bear imagery is just worrisome. The first night of nightmares he may make a ruckus as he pounds on Atha's door to check she's okay (if she stays in her own apartment rather than over with him).
For the graveyard plot he will attempt to go on the Lich party, but will otherwise go where he's needed.
