Mono looked down at Luna’s feet. “Shoes are important. I didn’t have any either for the first couple months I was here.” But he could fix that! He had a couple pairs now, and he was sure no one would mind if he gave a pair away to someone who needed them.
“You guys know how to make bread?” He asked, looking a little surprised. Mono didn’t know how to do anything like that. He had only figured out how to reheat food since he got here. No one really... cooked where he was from.
He held out his hands, wiggling his fingers for someone to take hold, a gesture he’d used often with Six. Holding hands meant you didn’t get separated, and since he was wearing his delivery badge, no one would bug them if they thought he was working or training some new kids.
The comment about Luna gets a curious tilt of his head. “No? That’s okay, my friend Six didn’t talk much either. Neither did I in my world, not really. Was safer to be quiet.” He added with a nod, offering Luna another one of his clumsy smiles. He could learn to communicate with gestures and stuff, like he used to. It would be easy once he got to know them better.
